With an Allen Wrench, tighten the hex draw bolt until it expands.
By placing an arbor in your machine & expanding the arbor, you can machine the arbors to the precise diameter & length for your job.
Chuck the shank of the expanding mandrel in a collet, jaw chuck or fixture.
Machine the slotted part larger than the bore of the part.
Loosen the hex draw bolt, position the part, and tighten the draw screw.
The part is now chucked and ready for machining.
Can be used with standard collets, vises, jaw chucks and many other special fixtures.
Multiple expanding mandrels are also used in other special fixtures.
